Description: Bell Helicopter developed the Cobra in the early 1960s to meet the Army's need for an attack helicopter. The Cobra carried a crew of two, in a tandem arrangement. The gunner sat in front of the pilot. It carried a 7.62-mm Gatling gun in a turret beneath the nose and a variety of munitions including anti-tank rockets under the small wings that protrude from the mid-fuselage.
